Tom Leech is both a gentleman and an exceptional professional. Tom was available to us anytime we needed or wanted to talk to him. He was on site most of the time and when not was always contactable. He was patient, helpful and understanding and always listened to what we had to say and answered our questions. He gave us his advice from his years of experience and made a number of practical suggestions which improved our house.
From the very outset, the standards Tom set were exemplary. The site was always spotless, and on evenings when we would visit to look at the progress there was never anything left lying around, offcuts and waste etc. were always cleaned up at the end of every day and neatly tidied away.
The project itself went seamlessly. Everything happened on time or, as was more often the case, ahead of schedule. If you had to criticise Tom, then it would be that Tom moved so fast at times that he was ready to move on to the next thing almost before we had had a chance to decide on the next thing. But this is a positive criticism! If there were any delays anywhere in the project these were our doing because we were never waiting on Tom but he sometimes had to wait for us to catch up. This kept us on our toes, ensuring we were prepared and did the work we needed to do on time, such as picking tiles, floors etc. We can’t emphasise enough how important this was and how much this contributed to the project going so smoothly.
Most importantly, Tom’s workmanship was exceptional. It speaks for itself and you just have to see it and walk around it to understand what we mean. We are not builders but when other tradesmen working on the finishes (such as our kitchen supplier, our tiler etc.), came to the house they all immediately commented on the excellent quality of the work, the clean and tidy finishes on everything and the immaculate way the house was left by Tom. We have told on numerous occasions by such tradesmen, and others, that the house we have got is of the highest quality there is; one very experienced tradesman said that we couldn’t have gotten better anywhere.
What comes across most is the pride that Tom takes in his work, down to every small detail. I don’t think there is a better compliment or marker of someone’s work than that. They say you have to build 3 houses before you get it right. Well if we ever get to do that, we will be getting Tom Leech to build them. We could not speak of, or recommend, Tom Leech more highly.

Leech Brothers Ltd. were employed by Longwood Parish to refurbish and reconfigure Killyon Church. This local building firm came with an excellent name for good quality
building in the midlands. I was delighted that the company won the tendering process and in Tom Leech I had a builder of integrity who kept to his word and managed impeccably a good strong team of workers.
The company sought at all times to deliver on the specified drawings and to keep to the quality and time frame specified. It was no surprise a year after the church reopened in 2018 it won an award for the quality of work carried out by those employed by the parish.
I have no hesitation in recommending Leech Brothers as a builder to anyone thinking of getting quality building work done.

We were recommended Tom as a builder by a number of people. From the moment we met Tom and his QS we were delighted with our decision. We began building in February 2018 and moved in the last week of October 2018. Tom is very experienced and has a wealthof knowledge, but always discussed decisions with us and made sure we were happy. It is hard to put into words how delighted we are that we chose Tom as our builder. Our build started in late Jan 2020 and from the very beginning it was clear that we had made the right choice. Tom and his tradesmen were very organised and efficent and moved quickly without delays. As two people with no background knowledge in the building trade, Tom was incredibly patient with us both. He answered all of our questions, despite his busy schedule. He gave us his opinion about particular things, and we are delighted we listened to him. These small changes he helped us make, have made the house even better.
Tom was always available, he answered the phone and he called when he said he would. The tradesmen moved quickly and seamlessly, and Tom gave us plenty of notice on decisions that we had to make. This ensured that we were organised ahead of schedule. and had things ready when he needed them, such as sanitary wear, tiles, etc. Tom used his knowledge and expertise to guide us throughout the entire process and we are so glad we listened to his advice.
Covid hit in March and our build stopped in April, just as the roof was about to go on. We were devastated but Tom advised us to use the time wisely and gave us a list of what we could be organising in the meantime. After a 7 week hiatus, construction reopened. Tom said he wasn't sure when we would get in, if our Christmas move in would still happen, but that he would do his best. And he did just that. For the next few months he and the tradesmen worked tirelessly. The site was always tidy, everyone that worked for him left the site ready for the next. We were blessed to move in on 20th Nov 2020, despite covid.
Every single person that has called to the house comments on the workmanship. The house is exceptionally well built, and that is down to Tom and the workers he chooses. The standard Tom sets is very high, and he is, and can be, so proud of the work he does with his team. Every single detail is important, and you only have to take a walk around our house to see the extraordinary craftsmanship that he has left behind. I would recommend Tom as a builder to anyone I know building, without hesitation. If we were to ever build again we wouldn't have anyone else build it. I cannot recommend him highly enough and if you are fortunate enough to be building a house, I can guarantee you it is in very safe hands with Tom Leech.
